i have two rolls of film. the first half of the first roll was shot with Blake, most of the photos inspired by Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close; photos similar to the last EL&IC-type shoot.
the second half of the first roll and the second roll are all of Sarah. It's the first time i've gotten to shoot her and she was so lovely and i had a nice time and her house is so huge and lovely to shoot in!

different sizes and even different colors at times. i used to always take my photos and put some sort of lines on them, creating a different sort of perspective. i haven't created anything new for the series in such a long time. i miss it. so i went through them and i want to share them.

i tried getting them on here from earliest to newest...but i got pretty lost while trying to figure it out. for the most part, they're in order...but there's some older ones at the end too...heh oops.

i shot with my super lovely, beautiful friend Miranda recently. i never seem to shoot with ladies, i suppose that's the case because i have maybe like 3 girlfriends, so....but i was really excited to shoot with her! there was no plan going into this shoot, i just looked around and realized i had some paperclips and fake spiderweb from halloween that i never used. so i just went with that. and i had three photos left on the roll of film so i shot a few photos in my room. i just got new bedding and curtains and they both are very lovely. also, i made this Alfred Hitchcock cardboard cutout thing; i love it. i just want to paint it black now.

i came home from school today and found myself alone with my cat. it was windy outside and the sun was very subtle (it later came out full force). i spent some time roaming around the house, taking a roll of film. i didn't rush, i didn't over-think anything, i took my time. i had This Will Destroy You playing through the house while i was shooting.

i took photos with my fake cockroaches, i took photos of Princess (my little pumpkin seed), i filled the guest room drawers with some of my favorite things; significant things. some of the things i should let go of, some of the things mean a lot to me, some of the things have inspired me and have made me very mad. but they all have meaning to them.

i went with my dad and brother downtown. Buddy (my brother) was getting some more tattoo work done and i needed to shoot photos for an assignment so it worked out well. these aren't anything particularly special or shall i say conceptual...but that's okay with me.

i'm going through old film photos. these are from December 18, 2010. I went with my friend Omar to see one of our all-time favorite bands, This Will Destroy You. but of course, every other band was incredible. Pompeii, The Eastern Sea, and Tactics. This was a very cold night and i had decided to wear my most shear tights with a pair of shorts. I was a bit crazy, but it was a nice time nonetheless.

it's sunday, October 30, 2011. tomorrow is halloween and i didn't even realize it until i was informed via facebook. i'll be spending my day tomorrow doing homework and studying for a midterm. i love halloween but i'll be inside most of the day. i wish that Disney channel would play the old Lizzie Mcguire and Even Steven's halloween episodes, those were the best. and now i'm rambling.

i just decided i wanted to take some self portraits today. i feel and look like a mess, so why not..right?

most of these photos were inspired by Virgin by Manchester Orchestra. there's also a few other random, more personal shots in the bunch. i haven't shot with Blake in a while, so i was excited to see him and shoot again.

Also, tomorrow i'm seeing Manchester Orchestra for the fourth time! They pretty much rule my world, so to say i'm excited is quite the understatement.
